As a Femtech brand, our mission is community with a purpose on health.

With an aged, traditional health care system women need specialized health care for their targeted needs. From vaginal incontinence, child birth, to menopausal - all of stages in life need acute attention and specialized care. In interviewing other women in the community, we found women lacked knowledge about hot flashes and night sweats.

Modal fibres which is a semi-synthetic composition made out of Tree Pulp and manmade fibres.  It’s composition is buttery-soft that helps absorb moisture. When our body sweats, nature adjusts our body temperature. Yes, we have a built-in thermostat. We have chosen Modal fabric because it absorbs moisture the best and we have engineered it with spandex for a 4-way stretch. The 4-way stretch is perfect for your body to move freely- a performance PJ we can stand behind.

 Our Research

We created a focus group of Menopausal women in the beginning our business journey. We hosted a focus group with women in their Perimenopausal to Post-menopausal to receive insight (mostly funny, embarrassing stories) on their menopausal period and what their unique needs are.

Insights

• In a group of 10 women, 90% of women concluded the Canadian healthcare system lacked education, awareness, and overall knowledge of the Menopausal stage.
• 55% of women said sleep is the hardest activity to complete comfortably due to night sweats and hot flashes. Women are either turning the thermostat on/off throughout the night trying to regulate their body temperature.
• 80% of women said when they participate activity, overall sleep is better and larger to little/no physical activity.
• 70% women don’t invest in high quality, performance PJs.

Synthetic vs Natural Fibres

Synthetic Fibres are manmade from toxic chemicals and substances. The fibres are extracted from a chemical process which makes it cheaper to mass produce.

Benefits of Synthetic Fibres

  • Cheaper to produce
  • Stain Resistant
  • Waterproof and water resistant

Natural fibers can be animal based or plant-based that are spun into yarn. Animal-based fibers can be silk or yarn, while plant-based fibers are cotton, linen, or jute.

 Benefits of Natural Fibers

  • Absorbs water with it’s high absorbency.
  • Eco-friendly - Less impact on the production process
  • Durable - Very Strong with durable cellulose
